Alex McNeill to Host More Light Presbyterians Conference

Alex McNeill made history two years ago when he was named executive director of More Light Presbyterians. This hire made Alex the first openly transgender identified executive director of any mainline Protestant denominational organization in the U.S.

It's two years later and after speaking across the country at other events, Alex is now ready to host his first More Light Presbyterians conference.

Gathering in Louisville, KY, September 18-20, 2015, the conference theme is “Living into God’s Abundance: A Queer Church Beyond Inclusion.” The event promises to explore the big questions: What’s next? How do we take further steps on the path towards radical welcome in our congregations and communities where we live?

With successful legislation in place on gay ordination and marriage, this conference looks at race and white supremacy, grace and creativity, as well as youth ministry and leadership. Openly genderqueer and agnostic queer Latin@, Robyn Henderson-Espinoza, is another one of the speakers.
