Muslim Alliance for Sexual and Gender Diversity (MASGD)

The Muslim Alliance for Sexual and Gender Diversity (MASGD) was launched January 23, 2013 at the Creating Change conference in Atlanta, GA. Building on the work of generations of LGBTQ Muslims and their allies, the new organization grew out of a working group brought together by the National Gay and Lesbian Task Force (The Task Force).

The Muslim Alliance is a collective of Muslims who identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer and/or allied. Our eight members represent diverse experiences as LGBTQA people and as Muslims. They bring a wealth of knowledge and talents to the organization.
