Trans Woman Ordained as Seventh Day Adventist (SDA) Elder

A couple of articles are circulating on the internet about the first transgender person ordained as an elder in the Seventh Day Adventist tradition. Unfortunately, these articles are accompanied by "scare quotes" and venom about Rhonda Dinwiddie's leadership in her local congregation, Hollywood Seventh Day Adventist in Hollywood, CA.

Apparently, these articles are just responses to a YouTube video posted in December 2015 showing Kirsten Salvador introducing/interviewing Rhonda Dinwiddie at a public gathering.

Transfaith is glad to join in celebrating both Rhonda ordination and Hollywood SDA's welcome, but we want to make sure you can watch the interview without also sifting through the backlash against it!
