For Such a Time As This
A Gathering of Transgender Religious Community
In September 2008, TransFaith Online planned to gather transgender religious community, in New Orleans, as a part of a larger LGBT religious conference (Many Stories, One Voice 2008). However, evacuations for Hurricane Gustav canceled the event. Instead, those presenters who were able, joined in a series of conference calls, which are being prepared for access on-line.

Because the original Many Stories, One Voice context was rooted in Christian tradition, the voices in our initial conference calls will be exclusively Christian. However, if the conversations are well received, we may further expand For Such a Time as This to incorporate a wider variety of faith perspectives.
